This smart mask gives your skin a much deserved boost

Foreo UFO smart mask

When you hear the word “mask” your mind probably immediately envisions the blue facial masks that have flooded society nowadays. But remember back in the day when a mask was something you put on your face to give yourself some much needed pampering? The Foreo UFO is one of the latter and takes the concept of pampering masks to a whole new level.

We live in a world where seemingly every device we have has to be smart. And you guessed it, the Foreo UFO is indeed a smart mask. Not that it communicates with Alexa or anything. What it does do is make sure your facial treatments are a lot more effective than they used to be.

Cool and hot smart mask

The smart mask uses a few different tricks to give your skin a boost. First off it uses hyper-infusion technology. This basically means that the device heats up and cools down to take advantage of your skins natural reaction to heat and cold. Thanks to the heat created by the Thermo-Therapy mode the active ingredients of your inserted mask are infused into the skin more effectively. On the other hand the Cryo-Therapy mode causes the device to cool your skin. Why you ask? This helps to diminish the appearance of pores and to reduce puffiness.

Another trick the smart mask has up its sleeve is the use of T-sonic pulsations. This patented technology is also said to boost the absorption of active mask ingredients, leaving you with radiant skin. And last but not least, there’s also some LED-light therapy to finish your treatment off. Red, green and blue light is used to create an at home phototherapy treatment. The different wavelengths should target varying skin problems and have a rejuvenating effect.

Any treatment you could imagine

The Foreo UFO is used in conjunction with a range of UFO-activated masks that are placed inside the device. The collection of masks is quite large and ranges from the normal sounding Acai Berry and Manuka Honey masks to names like H2Overdose and Shimmer Freak. Use the different masks to target dull skin, wrinkles and dryness to name a few things.

Both the UFO device and accompanying masks can be purchased through the official Foreo website. The standard UFO is priced at 199 euro, which is about 236 USD. There is also a UFO 2 though and even some mini versions if you want to save some money. Prices for the masks range from 12 to 23 USD per box of six.
