A whole bunch of apps in Apple’s App Store and in Google Play are totally free, but it’s usually the paid ones that seem to have extra appeal. Well fortunately every now and then those paid apps are free for a limited time and even more fortuitous is the fact that every week we’ll scour the internet for you to find out which ones are free.
Retro Pixel – Hardcore Platformer
First on the list is Retro Pixel. In this case the name says it all and the graphics are definitely very retro. The game is about a lost pixel that you have to save by bouncing around (as a pixel) through 80 different levels. And to really give you that retro vibe, all of this happens accompanied by a funky 8-bit soundtrack.

GET HER BACK – Adventure & Shooter At It’s Best
Speaking of pixels…. this next game is also rocking the pixel vibe, but in a less abstract way. As you can see it’s a platform game and the goal is, as you would guess, to get her back.

Adventurous Box | World of Traps
Next up is Adventurous Box | World of Traps, which is a mix of adventure and puzzle. You complete different minimalist worlds by collecting milky-stones. But beware, those coveted milky-stones are obviously surrounded by all kinds of traps. Good luck.

Slayaway Camp: 1980’s Horror Puzzle Fun!
The name Slayaway Camp: 1980’s Horror kind of gives away what the game is about, but we’ll tell you anyway. It’s described as a “diabolical puzzle game that also happens to be a bloody tribute to the VHS era of videotape horror”. The goal here is to finish your puzzles as Skullface, a psycho slasher bent on slaughtering campers. Unfortunately the app is only free for Android users.

Bigfoot Quest
Last on the list is Bigfoot Quest. The game is played in the forests of the Pacific Northwest and obviously the goal is to find the elusive Bigfoot. Find clues and solve puzzles as you help your uncle Henry to discover the location of the den of the hairy beast. Unfortunately the app is only free for Android users.

So there you have it. You might be asking yourself what this all has to do with being glamorous, but we’ve found that relaxing is a brilliant way to feel extra glam the rest of the day (yep that was some rhyme for ya). Check back next week for more free paid apps.
