As we live your busy lives, it can be challenging to keep hold of those precious moments that make it all worth it. And of course you could store all your photo’s in a cloud, but LA-based entrepreneur Tina Cheng has found a more intimate way to carry those memories with you. Each item of her Capsul Jewelry collection is in fact a portable time capsule.

The collection consists of different bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings with various options to store those precious memories. You could embellish the pieces with your handwriting, roman numerals or a special date. But if you really want to go for it, there’s the unique scannable memory collection.

Scannable jewelry

With the scannable memory collection you can also store audio and video files on your piece of jewellery. Simply upload your favorite file and a unique code is generated for your bling of choice. Retrieving the memory is as easy as scanning the code with the Capsul Android app. The scannable pieces are priced from 150 USD to 980 USD, depending on the material and finish you choose. But if you subscribe to their mailing list, you get 10 percent off.

Capsul’s responsible accessories

Capsul founder Tina Cheng started the collection as a new way to turn her daughter’s cute handwriting and sweet voice into beautiful everyday reminders. As a former jewelry industry executive she was concerned about the toxic effect of some jewelry manufacturing processes on our health and environment. That’s why Capsul’s mission is to deliver premium pieces, made in the most responsible and eco-friendly way possible.

Another interesting jewelry collection is the one by Sara Sallam. Her pieces don’t store any memories, but do hide you from invasive surveillance technology.
