Due to the novel corona virus we’ve all been pretty confined to our homes lately. You could see it as a reason to get mopey, but it might also be a challenge to get more creative. teamLab chose the latter and decided to create a living piece of art that connects the world. Meet “Flowers Bombing Home“, an ever changing piece of art for your television that requires you to participate.

Flowers Bombing Home is a living artwork, consisting of numerous flowers blooming and scattering across your TV screen. teamLab invites everyone around the world to draw their own flowers and add them to the artwork. “This project was created to help us realize that our existence is connected to the world and to celebrate the fact that the world is connected. The television in your home becomes art. Watch at home, participate at home, and connect with the world. People from around the world draw flowers, creating a single artwork that blooms in homes around the world.“
Draw, upload, admire
To add to the artwork draw a flower on a piece of paper, your smartphone, or your computer. When you’re satisfied with your work, simply upload it . Your flower will be featured in the digital painting forming a single piece of art with other flowers drawn around the world.
“The flowers that people draw around the world will bloom until the end of the coronavirus. When the coronavirus ends, they will bloom and scatter all at once in various places all over the world. And, in the future, perhaps the flowers will continue to bloom forever as an artwork for people to remember this era.“
