Every year at CES it becomes ever more clear that it is indeed the fate of every single thing we know to become smart. A lot of us already walk around with smart watches, smart jewelry and last year we even got introduced to a new line of smart Louis Vuitton bags. Now it’s time to wear that smartness to bed in the form of Xenoma’s brand new intelligent pajamas.

Two styles

The Tokyo based brand recently debuted their new e-skin Sleep & Lounge collection during CES 2020. In the collection we find two different PJ styles with hidden tech inside to monitor your nightly activities. You can basically take your pick between a classic buttoned pajama look or a more sweatsuit like ensemble with a kangaroo pocket.

Glamify

Now as you know at Glam@tech we’re all about glamour, and we do have to say that the pajamas aren’t the most bewitching pieces of clothing we’ve ever seen. However the classic pajama should look quite elegant with an added belt tied around the waist.

Vital signs and alarm

As for the smart part: the PJ’s keep an eye on the wearer’s breathing, vital signs and heart rate. Apart from that the smart clothing also keeps track of sleep patterns and your activity level to provide you with useful insights. And maybe best of all, the pajamas even set off an alarm if you happen to fall.

Pajamas for the elderly

Although anyone could wear the smart pajamas, the sleepwear is specifically created with the elderly in mind. According to Xenoma CEO and co-founder Ichino Amimori they are a natural health tool for this demographic. Even more so than smart wristbands that come with the extra hassle of having to charge them daily. Wristbands are also gadgets that people often forget to put on in the first place, while everyone remembers their pajamas (unless you sleep naked of course).

Xenoma’s e-skin collection should be available in the US this spring if you’re interested in getting your hands on pajamas that have just that little bit of extra oomph.
