Since we’ve been hit by the C-word (no not the c-word you’re thinking about) pandemic, campervans have dramatically risen in popularity. Where vanlife was popular before it has risen to record highs, with the sale of campervans up by around 80%. And like most things the Chinese have not let this trend pass unnoticed. No not at all… Let’s take a look at this outrageously luxe doubledecker campervan by SIAC Motor.

Second floor elevator

I’m talking about the Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition. It’s still a prototype, but a very unique one at that. The Maxus life is pretty much a normal luxury campervan from bottom to roof. Its first roof that is, because the camper has a pop-up second roof that gives you an extra 133 square feet or 41 square meters on top of your campervan.

A 133 square feet space could be enough for a tiny mobile yoga studio, you just bring the yoga to your clients! But I can hear you think “how will my precious yoga students get on the roof of my campervan?!”. Well worry not, because the Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition is outfitted with an elevator. Why you ask? To be honest, I don’t know, but I do know it’s a damn good conversation starter.

When you’re not hanging up top the lower level horizontally expands to give vanlifers 215 square feet leisure space. And in this case that means a bathroom, kitchen, and a spacious lounge with a transparent TV and an L-shaped couch.

The new campervan trend

At the moment there’s only one prototype of the SIAC Motor campervan. It does however give a new perspective to RV builders all over the world, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing this new doubledecker design “pop up” at other RV builders as well.

The Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition is of course something we all need because let me say it again: ELEVATOR. We do have to wait though since it’s currently not in production. However when SIAC Motor does start selling them the price tag will be 413,000 USD tun tun tuuuuuuuuun!!!
